Contractor Central is seeking an experienced Master Scheduler for an immediate contract engagement with a federal government client in Canberra, ACT.
About the Role
This is a hands-on scheduling role supporting a complex, multi-workstream ICT program. You will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and governing the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS), ensuring schedule integrity, dependency management, and accurate performance reporting to senior leadership and program boards.
Responsibilities
Develop, baseline, and maintain the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) across multiple concurrent workstreamsConduct critical path analysis, float monitoring, and near-critical path reportingApply Earned Value Management (EVM) including PMB establishment, SPI/CPI measurement, and EAC/ETC forecastingFacilitate schedule risk analysis (SRA) and RAID management with project teams and stakeholdersProduce schedule performance reports, milestone dashboards, and variance analysis for executive audiencesDrive schedule governance and accountability across multi-disciplinary delivery teams and vendorsIdentify and manage schedule risks, interdependencies, and recovery strategies
Qualifications
Demonstrated experience as a Master Scheduler or Senior Project Scheduler on complex government or enterprise programs
Required Skills
Expert proficiency in Microsoft Project and/or Primavera P6Strong EVM knowledge including baselining, variance analysis, and forecastingExperience conducting schedule risk analysis and applying DCMA schedule health practicesExcellent stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to communicate schedule status clearly at all levelsActive NV1 security clearance — mandatory
