Registered Nurse

Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our medical team in Ballina, New South Wales. This part-time, permanent position is essential for providing high-quality nursing care to our patients. The Practice Nurse will play a vital role in supporting the healthcare team, ensuring patient comfort, and promoting health education within the community. This role is crucial for maintaining the high standards of care that our practice is known for.

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care, including assessments, treatments, and follow-up care.
• Administer vaccinations and manage chronic disease care plans.
• Assist in minor surgical procedures and wound care.
• Educate patients on health management and disease prevention.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Participate in practice meetings and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications:

• Registered Nurse with a current Australian Nursing and Midwifery Accreditation Council (ANMAC) registration.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a clinical setting, preferably in a general practice or community health.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Current First Aid and CPR certification.
• Knowledge of chronic disease management and preventative health strategies.
