Trade / Retail Counter Sales assistant

We’re looking for a motivated Customer Service / Store Assistant to join our growing team!
This role suits someone who enjoys working in a hands-on environment, assisting trade customers, and being part of a friendly, supportive workplace.

About the Role

You’ll be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our trade and retail customers at the counter and over the phone.
Your day-to-day will include:

• Serving and assisting customers with product selection

• Processing counter and phone sales

• Providing product knowledge and advice

• Assisting in maintaining stock levels and store presentation

• Helping with deliveries as required

This is a full-time permanent position — Monday to Friday, with some Saturday mornings.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Great customer service and communication skills

• A professional, team-focused attitude

• Basic computer skills

• Strong organizational and time management skills

• A current driver’s license

• A sense of humor and a professional presentation

Experience in the following will be highly regarded:

• Hardware, building supplies or fastener sales

• Power tools and construction products

• Trade or building background

• Previous store or counter sales experience
