Dispatch Manager

We are seeking an experienced Dispatch Manager to lead our Woodville dispatch operation. This hands-on leadership role is responsible for ensuring our products are dispatched safely, efficiently and on time, while developing the team and driving improvements in service, cost and operational performance.

Responsibilities

• Lead, develop and manage the Dispatch team, including resourcing, performance and day-to-day operations

• Plan and coordinate dispatch schedules and delivery routes to achieve DIFOT and customer requirements

• Align dispatch capacity with production outputs and respond to changing operational priorities

• Monitor safety, Chain of Responsibility and transport compliance requirements

• Manage fleet, carriers and transport resources to support safe, reliable and cost-effective delivery

• Monitor operational KPIs, costs and performance trends and drive continuous improvement

• Work closely with production, sales and other teams to resolve delivery issues and improve customer outcomes

• Build strong relationships with internal and external customers, carriers and service providers

Our ideal candidate

• Demonstrated experience leading a dispatch, logistics or supply chain operation, ideally within manufacturing

• Strong people leadership skills with experience developing teams and managing performance

• Sound knowledge of transport, warehousing, inventory and safety/compliance requirements

• Strong planning, scheduling and problem-solving capability

• Commercial mindset with experience managing costs and improving operational performance

• Confident in use of operational systems, data and KPIs to make decisions

• Strong communication skills and a genuine commitment to safety and customer service

• Glass industry experience will be highly regarded but is not essential.
