The Opportunity

We are seeking a collaborative Early Years Regional Team Leader to provide operational and strategic leadership across Council's early years programs. Leading multidisciplinary teams across multiple sites, you will play a key role in shaping service excellence, driving continuous improvement, strengthening workforce capability and ensuring compliance with the evolving early years landscape.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide leadership, mentoring and support to service leaders and multidisciplinary teams
• Drive a culture of excellence, accountability, innovation and continuous improvement
• Lead workforce planning, recruitment, performance development and employee engagement initiatives
• Contribute to strategic planning, service development and implementation of early years reforms
• Ensure services operate in accordance with legislative, regulatory and funding requirements
• Monitor service quality, compliance, performance outcomes and risk management activities
• Manage and monitor operational budgets, resource allocation and service sustainability initiatives
• Develop productive relationships with families, community organisations, government agencies and key stakeholders
• Represent Council on relevant committees, networks and professional forums

Skills & Experience

The ideal candidate will be a passionate and experienced people leader with a strong understanding of the early years sector and a commitment to achieving exceptional outcomes for children and families.

You will bring:

• Significant leadership experience within childcare and/or kindergarten, leading multiple sites.
• Strong knowledge of the National Quality Framework, Child Safe Standards and relevant early years legislation
• Demonstrated experience leading multidisciplinary teams across complex service environments
• Proven ability to manage change, drive continuous improvement and support workforce capability development
• Well-developed stakeholder engagement and partnership-building skills
• Sound financial management, budget monitoring and resource planning experience
• Excellent communication, problem-solving and strategic planning capabilities
• A commitment to delivering high-quality, inclusive and family-centred services
