Contract Diesel — Full-time

Contract Diesel is looking for an experienced Heavy Diesel Mechanic to join our team, working across Road Transport, Construction, Exploration Drilling, and Power Generation Equipment — both in the field and at our Welshpool workshop.

Reporting to the Workshop Manager, you'll service, diagnose, and maintain a wide range of customer assets to keep them reliable, safe, and performing.

Key Responsibilities

• Service, maintain and repair heavy vehicles and equipment across transport, construction, drilling and power generation sectors

• Diagnostics and fault-finding

• Routine maintenance and breakdown repairs

• Accurate service documentation and job reports

• Mentor and support apprentices in the team

Requirements

• Trade qualification in Heavy Automotive Mechanical

• Proven experience on on-highway trucks

• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills

• Confident using diagnostic laptops/scan tools

• Driver's Licence (HR preferred)

• Forklift and/or High Risk Work licences (desirable)

• Self-motivated, able to work autonomously and under pressure

• High attention to detail

• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical including Drug & Alcohol screening
