F&B Attendant - Bartender (Chapter & Verse Lounge Bar)

JW Marriott Gold Coast Resort & Spa is looking for an enthusiastic Food & Beverage Attendant – Bartender to join our fantastic F&B team at Chapter & Verse Bar on a part-time basis.

This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys working behind the bar while also being confident providing exceptional service on the floor. You'll have the opportunity to showcase your bartending skills, build your beverage knowledge and connect with guests from around the world, while supporting the wider F&B operation when required.

No two shifts are the same. Whether you're preparing beverages at the bar, recommending a drink to a guest, taking an order at a table or ensuring the venue is running smoothly, you'll play an important role in creating the warm, personalised experience JW Marriott is known for.

Critical responsibilities

• Prepare and serve a range of beverages, including cocktails, spirits, wine, beer, coffee and non-alcoholic drinks, in line with venue standards
• Provide friendly, confident and professional service to guests both behind the bar and on the floor
• Warmly welcome guests, build rapport and create memorable experiences
• Take and accurately deliver food and beverage orders, including providing recommendations based on guest preferences
• Demonstrate and continue to build strong knowledge of our beverage offering, cocktails, menu and hotel facilities
• Assist with table and floor service, including running food and beverages, clearing tables and maintaining service areas
• Maintain excellent bar presentation, including stocking ice, glassware, garnishes and other supplies
• Ensure the bar and service areas remain clean, organised and fully prepared throughout service
• Assist with opening and closing duties and support the wider F&B team as required
• Ensure accuracy and attention to detail across all guest requests, orders and service delivery
• Promote responsible service of alcohol and actively support WHS practices

Successful candidates will have

• Previous bartending and/or food & beverage experience, ideally within a hotel, bar, restaurant or high-volume venue
• A genuine passion for bartending and beverage service
• Strong knowledge of cocktails, spirits and other beverages, or a keen desire to develop this knowledge
• Current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) competency
• Confidence engaging with guests and providing both bar and floor service
• A positive, energetic and can-do attitude
• The ability to remain calm, organised and professional in a fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to detail and a team-focused approach
• Flexibility to work across evenings, weekends and public holidays
• Previous cocktail-making and bartending experience is highly regarded
