The successful candidate will play a key role in quality control, staff management, inventory monitoring, and operational compliance to ensure exceptional standards of cleanliness and hygiene.

As the Head Housekeeper, you will direct and coordinate the day-to-day operations of our housekeeping department.   Benefits Task & responsibilities Key Responsibilities Determine weekly work requirements, manage staff rosters, and allocate daily cleaning duties to housekeeping staff. Maintain accurate attendance records, monitor service quality, and ensure strict compliance with workplace health and safety regulations.

Recruit, onboard, and train new housekeeping employees, and explain safety standards and operational procedures clearly to all staff. Oversee inventory levels of linens, cleaning chemicals, and room amenities, and manage cost allocations within the department budget. Address and resolve customer enquiries, requests, or complaints regarding accommodation cleanliness and presentation.

Prepare operational reports, analyze service delivery metrics, and collaborate with upper management to improve hotel occupancy performance. Manage relationships and coordinate schedules with external laundry contractors, chemical suppliers, and maintenance technicians. Develop, implement, and update standard operating procedures (SOPs) for the department to optimize workflows and reduce resource wastage.

  Qualification & experience Qualifications and Skills A formal qualification in Hospitality Management, Hotel Management, or a related discipline. (minimum Diploma level or equivalent). Minimum 1 year of relevant professional experience as a Head Housekeeper, Hotel Service Manager, or in a related supervisory hotel services role.

Strong operational knowledge of hotel and housekeeping management principles, infection control standards, and quality assurance protocols. Proficiency in hotel property management systems (PMS), staff scheduling/rostering software, and inventory control tools. Demonstrated skills in staff supervision, operational planning, resource allocation, and resolving client service issues.
