About the role
We are currently seeking applications for a Lead Consultant Aboriginal Participation to join The Office of the Industry Advocate at The Department of Treasury & Finance until January 2028.
Remuneration: ASO7 – Salary Range ($116,089 - $125,490 p.a.).
About the opportunity:
The Lead Consultant Aboriginal Participation reports to the Deputy Industry Advocate. The role has a statewide remit and influences government procurement activity by providing specialist Aboriginal participation advice across public authorities, suppliers and sector stakeholders. It supports consistent application of the South Australian Industry Participation Policy (SAIPP) and SAIPP Procedural Guidelines and helps shape procurement approaches that improve Aboriginal economic participation outcomes across South Australian Government funded activity.
About you:
The Lead Consultant Aboriginal Participation delivers specialist consultancy services that directly support the South Australian Aboriginal Business sector to access supply chain opportunities and build the sector capability and capacity to participate in government funded procurements, directly and indirectly.
The role aims to improve the level of awareness of the functions and responsibilities associated with the SAIPP, SAIPP Procedural Guidelines, Industry Advocate Act 2017, and the OIA, as they relate to Aboriginal economic participation.
