About the Role:
Our Cairns head office is growing, and we’re looking for a highly analytical and commercially minded Inventory & Procurement Analyst to join our Supply Chain team. This role plays a critical part in ensuring we maintain the right stock levels, optimise inventory investment, and provide valuable data insights that support purchasing, sales, and operational decisions across the business. Alongside the analysis, the role will also provide hands-on procurement administration support, helping ensure purchasing activities and supplier processes are managed accurately and efficiently. If you enjoy working with data, identifying trends, and driving smarter business decisions, this is an exciting opportunity to build your career in the renewable energy sector.
You’ll be responsible for analysing inventory performance, forecasting demand, monitoring stock movements, and supporting purchasing strategies through accurate reporting and insights. Working closely with procurement, warehouse, and sales teams, you’ll help ensure product availability while minimising excess stock and improving overall inventory efficiency. You’ll also assist with day-to-day procurement administration, including purchase orders, supplier follow-up, data maintenance and other purchasing support as required. The role requires strong attention to detail, advanced Excel capability, and the ability to interpret data, identify trends and turn insights into clear, actionable recommendations.
This is a fast-paced and commercially focused role where your analysis will directly influence stock investment, supplier performance, profitability, and customer outcomes. You’ll also contribute to process improvements, inventory planning, reporting dashboards, and forecasting models that support the continued growth of the business. The successful candidate will enjoy working across both data analysis and practical procurement activities, with the ability to move between detailed analysis and getting things done.
Our modern Cairns office environment offers a great balance of professionalism and personality. We work hard, lift each other up during busy periods and genuinely celebrate team wins. It’s a friendly, close-knit workplace where your contribution will be recognised and valued.
AC Solar Warehouse is proudly 100% Australian and employee-owned. Our founder and Managing Director remains hands-on in the business and leads with a supportive, empowering and team-focused approach. If you’re looking to make a meaningful impact, work with great people and grow with a respected industry leader, this is the opportunity for you.
Selection Criteria:
Demonstrated experience in inventory analysis, demand planning, or a similar analytical role within a wholesale, distribution, or supply chain environment
Strong analytical and numerical skills, with the ability to interpret data and provide actionable business insights
