Maintenance Controller

We are a financial services company that specialises in fleet management, vehicle leasing and salary packaging, with a presence across Australia, the UK and NZ. A total portfolio under management of $2.5 Billion and over 1200 employees.

This role is responsible for delivering cost-effective maintenance support to clients while providing exceptional customer service. Manage maintenance requests, assess and authorise repairs in line with vehicle contracts and approval limits, and respond promptly to customer, supplier, and internal enquiries.

Job Requirements

• Tertiary qualification in Automotive - Technical Heavy vehicle qualification or equivalent
• Extensive experience in the motor industry
• Experience in a customer service role and/or negotiating with suppliers
• Effective communicator both verbally on the phone & in writing, demonstrating good listening, probing skills
• Excellent discretion and tact in dealings with people
• Can resolve problems through to complete resolution for customers in a timely, effective manner
• Consistently takes responsibility for high quality, high output work, showing innovative, forward thinking, and strong attention to detail
• Strong organisational and prioritisation skills - meets specified deadlines and reports regularly on progress

Job Responsibilities

• Approve suppliers’ requests for the maintenance and repair work on managed vehicles and equipment.
• Ensure all services carried out are within the manufacturers service requirements.
• Ensure defective vehicle and equipment repairs are carried out in accordance with the current CoR and Health and Safety processes.
• Actively work with external suppliers to provide support and improve their EVO portal usage.
• Assist customers with general maintenance enquiries.
