Commercial Sales Manager

🏏Join cricket Victoria - We’re hiring a Commercial Sales Manager for our Big Bash Victoria team.

You will play an important role in driving commercial growth across the Melbourne Stars and Cricket Victoria. By generating new leads, identifying valuable business opportunities and securing partnerships and sponsorships, you’ll help grow revenue while supporting the broader sales and partnership team to deliver strong commercial outcomes.

💪 The Role

Key responsibilities:

• Drive new sponsorship, partnership and commercial revenue opportunities across the Melbourne Stars and Cricket Victoria assets.
• Identify and engage prospective partners, businesses and key decision-makers across relevant industries.
• Build and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified sales leads and commercial opportunities.
• Develop compelling and tailored sponsorship proposals that align with prospective partners’ objectives.
• Build strong, long-term relationships with corporate partners, prospects and key stakeholders.
• Identify new markets, products, assets and revenue streams that can deliver commercial growth.
• Work closely with the Head of Commercial to support the delivery of the broader commercial strategy.
• Leverage corporate networks and industry relationships to generate new business leads and opportunities.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date sales activity, prospect and partner information within the CRM system.
• Prepare regular sales reports, pipeline updates, forecasts and commercial presentations.
• Monitor sponsorship, industry and market trends to identify emerging commercial opportunities.
• Support partnership activations, match days, events and other commercial initiatives as required.

🎯 About You 

You’ll bring:

• Proven work history in a similar sales role
• Demonstrated ability to build and retain relationships at all levels
• Capable of delivering an end-to-end solution for current and prospective partners
• Able to think creatively and present sponsorship proposals that are aligned to business objectives
• Strong communication (written and verbal) skills
• Previous experience in managing a sales (or similar) CRM database
• Excellent organisational and time management skills
• A self-driven and highly motivated person prepared to roll up their sleeves and ‘get it done’
• Ability to work within a small team environment

Highly Regarded:

• Previous experience with various CRM platforms
• Ability to use Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel or similar programs

Qualifications:

• Tertiary qualification in a relevant degree (i.e. Business, Marketing, etc.)
• Current Victorian Employee Working with Children Check
• Valid Driver’s licence
