Student Placements Coordinator

Due to continued growth at Excelsia University College, we are expanding our student placements team and are seeking additional team members to join us during this exciting period of growth.

About the Role                                                          

Primary responsibilities include:

• To provide support to the Director of Student Placements and Field Education Coordinators.
• To build and nurture industry relationships to develop and maintain potential placement partners for Social Work and Community Services placement units.
• To research, identify, and initiate new opportunities to attract and establish long-term and mutually beneficial partnerships.
• To triage, review, and assess new leads to refer to Field Education Coordinators to qualify in line with relevant accreditation bodies to become placement partners.
• To support associated relationship building and partner onboarding.
• To collaborate to identify and formalise a suitable number of placement partners to cater to each cohort of placement students.

Selection Criteria

Qualifications and Professional Standing:

• Possession of a degree level qualification or relevant combination of experience and training, in a relevant field such as Sales, Marketing, or Business Administration, and/or Social Work or Community Services.

Essential:

• Committed Christian involved in a local congregation.
• Experience in networking, stakeholder relationship management and engagement with industry representatives.
• Experience in a higher education setting (or equivalent) would be an advantage.
• Proven organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines.
• Demonstrable experience in account, relationship management and/or business development (in required areas, or higher education, other relevant industry as examples)
• Excellent communication/ interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport with a wide variety of stakeholders.
• Outcomes focused and comfortable working in a target driven environment.
• Able to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team to achieve required outcomes.
• Disciplined with record keeping and confident/experienced in managing data and using a variety of technology (InPlace, CRM, highly desirable)
• Persistent, solutions- focused and agile, with the ability to effectively manage conflicting priorities, timelines and demands.
• Strong presentation skills and ability to adapt communication style to suit diverse networks.
• Ability to collaborate and negotiate with both internal and external stakeholders to positively influence and deliver mutually beneficial outcomes.
