The Role: Industrial Planner

We are seeking a proactive and commercially minded Industrial Planner to join our Above Water Systems team based in Garden Island. In this role, you will work closely with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of program requirements across complex projects.

You’ll play a key role in driving supplier performance, managing procurement activities, and optimising supply chain solutions to deliver value, maintain capability, and support critical project milestones.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage supplier and subcontractor engagement to support project delivery and program outcomesLead end-to-end RFP activities, including supplier selection, evaluation, and resource planningOversee supplier strategies across Electrical, Structural or Mechanical categoriesAllocate work packages to maximise value, maintain supplier capability, and meet project requirementsMonitor labour and material costs to ensure budgets and schedules remain on trackConduct supplier performance reviews and build strong supplier relationshipsCollaborate with internal stakeholders to negotiate agreements, resolve issues, and drive continuous improvement

Your Skills:

Background in Electronics, Mechanical, Structural or related technical/trade disciplines highly regardedExperience in procurement, supplier management, and commercial contract environmentsStrong negotiation and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence outcomesAbility to analyse costs, manage priorities, and deliver effective supply chain solutionsExcellent written and verbal communication skills across all levels of businessSelf-motivated with the ability to work autonomously and meet deadlinesResilient, collaborative, and committed to delivering high-quality outcomes and ethical business practices
