About the role
The Crown Solicitor's Office (CSO) offers placements to students wishing to complete the Practical Legal Training (PLT) component of their professional qualifications. Placements are offered to approximately four students three times per year, for a period of four weeks (150 hours). Potential applicants are advised that there are three intakes for 2026.
This advert is for applications for the intake commencing in November 2026. Please provide your University Academic Summary – Law Results by saving your results into a Word Document or PDF and including as a page at the end of your cover letter. You will also be prompted to answer a series of questions when submitting your application.
You will be prompted to attach the following:
Placement is dependent upon a National Police Certificate clearance that the AGD finds satisfactory. Successful applicants will be will provided further information if an interview is requested. Forms are not to be lodged directly with SA Police (SAPOL) under any circumstances and any fees incurred by applicants in doing so will not be recoverable from the AGD. If invited to attend an interview, you will also be required to complete a pre-placement declaration.
