Trades Assistant (Mechanical) – HMR Engineering

Located in High Wycombe and Mundaring, WA
Employment Type: Full-Time

Remuneration : 

• Permanent site & workshop rates – $37 - $45 per hour

• Night shift – 15% loading

• Site allowance of additional $5/hour applicable to all site work

About the Role

We are seeking motivated and hard working trade assistants to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting our Maintenance Technicians in servicing and repairing mills, crushers, gearboxes and heavy machinery both in Australia and overseas, as required. This role is a mixture of workshop and site-based and requires working under limited supervision while ensuring all maintenance and repair work meets the highest standards.

We average 2 shutdowns per month, 3 - 10 days duration. Our clients are based within WA, interstate and overseas.

Key Responsibilities

• Tool and equipment care.

• Mechanical support, assisting with dismantling, cleaning, and reassemblies..

• Routine servicing such as fluid and oil changes, filter replacements and component greasing.

• Use of hand tools such as grinders to clean and prep parts.

• General housekeeping.

• Comply with safety regulations and company procedures.

What We’re Looking For

• Previous experience in the mining industry is desirable but not essential.

• White Card

• Working at Heights & Confined Space Entry Certificates (required)

• C Class WA Manual Driver’s Licence (required)
