Vintage Cellar Hand - Dorrien Estate Winery

Job Description

Dorrien Estate Winery is one of Australia’s leading grape crushing and Winemaking facilities. In the heart of the Barossa Valley, the winery provides full winemaking and processing services to contract customers. 

The Winery is currently seeking casual Cellar Team Members for the 2027 Vintage. Previous Vintage or winery experience would be well regarded, but full training will be provided.

Employment will be on a seasonal casual basis. Applicants must be available for the entire vintage period between January and May 2027

Shift work, weekends and overtime is required.

A considerable amount of physical labour will be required in these positions working both indoors and outdoors. 

What you'll do:

• Vintage operations from crush to press
• Cellar operations
• Barrel operations
• Filtration and bottling preparation

You will have the following skills: 

• Possess a high level of attention to detail and problem solving skills
• Work cooperatively with others
• You have an ability to work autonomously, have excellent time management and organisational skills
• Accomplish objectives effectively within time frames 
• High motivation with a good understanding of numeracy and literacy
• A High Risk licence would be well regarded
• Weighbridge experience will be considered

Candidates will be required to complete a pre-employment medical as part of the recruitment process.
