About the role
About the RolePMB Services Multisensory is seeking a passionate and committed Multisensory Literacy & Numeracy Tutor to join our team.This role is ideal for an educator, tutor or allied education professional who is passionate about helping children and young people develop their literacy and numeracy skills through explicit, structured and multisensory teaching approaches.You will work one-on-one with students who may experience difficulties with literacy, numeracy, dyslexia, dysgraphia, dyscalculia, ADHD, ASD or other learning challenges.Key ResponsibilitiesDeliver individualised literacy and numeracy tutoring sessions.Use explicit, structured and multisensory teaching strategies.Support students to develop foundational reading, spelling, writing and mathematics skills.Follow individual learning programs and adjust instruction according to student needs.Use hands-on, visual, auditory and kinaesthetic learning strategies.Build students' confidence, engagement and independence in learning.Monitor student progress and provide feedback to families and the PMB Services team.Maintain accurate session notes and student records.About YouWe are looking for someone who:Has a genuine passion for supporting children and young people who experience learning difficulties.Has experience working with children in literacy and/or numeracy.Understands the importance of explicit and structured teaching.Is patient, encouraging, reliable and adaptable.Can build positive relationships with students and families.Is confident working independently.Is willing to learn and implement PMB Services' multisensory teaching approaches.Has strong communication and organisational skills.Qualifications & ExperienceExperience working with children or young people.Working with Children Check.Current RRHAN-EC training or willingness to obtain.
