About the role

We are seeking intuitive, dynamic, and experienced operations manager to work closely with the Managing Directors and General Manager in the daily running of our Traffic management company and support our team and deliver exceptional services to clients.
The ability to effectively control the rostering of local and FIFO staff and provide effective and efficient administrative support relating to (but not confined to) records management, purchasing, and administrative services is key to a smooth-running office and happy clients. Manage the supervisors and there daily running of projects and there time management.

Minimum of 2 years management experience is required for this role.

Traffic management industry experience is preferred but not essential.

The Traffic Manger will be expected to:

• Schedule personal to current and up and coming projects

• Upload jobs and vehicles onto our management system

• Upload all correspondence into job files

• Manage and check daily paperwork (DSD's)

• Lead an excellent team environment & customer service satisfaction

• Management of the field (Traffic Controllers, and Site Management)

• Assit our supervisers to arrange crews for after hour call outs and general works

• Ensure all staff details, and licensing documents remain current

• Consult with clients, both current and potential

• Manage signage and additional inventory

• Liaise with clients and suppliers

• Preparing authority submissions to seek approval to fit within the project schedule

• Organising external road safety audits, assessing the outcome and coordinating the corrective actions

• Be available for work after hours and some weekends as required

• Wotrk closely with supervisors and management

Essential Criteria

• Maintain fitness for work. Swan has a Zero Drugs and Alcohol policy

• Excellent people skills

• Good computer skills

• Intermediate computer skills including proficiency in Excel and database systems are required

• Always maintain a professional appearance when representing the company

• Willingness to learn

• Ability to work unsupervised and maintain motivation

• Ensure punctuality, at all times

• Attend training courses to obtain high level traffic credentials

• Must be an Australian permanent resident or citizen
