About the Role

Your focus will be on building leadership capability to continue to develop high quality outcomes for participants and employees

As the Head of Supported Independent Living, you will provide strategic leadership across our SIL portfolio, leading a team of Regional Managers to deliver exceptional outcomes for both participants and employees.

Your focus will be on building leadership capability rather than stepping into day-to-day service delivery. You will create the systems, culture and direction that allow your leaders to succeed while ensuring our services continue to grow sustainably, safely and in line with our values.

You will work closely with the Executive Leadership Team to drive continuous improvement, identify opportunities for growth, strengthen operational performance and ensure our services remain sector-leading.

This role requires someone who enjoys thinking strategically, solving complex organisational challenges and developing people into exceptional leaders.

This is a full-time position requiring travel across our Supported Independent Living services throughout the Sydney Basin.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership across the Supported Independent Living portfolio.
• Lead, coach and develop Regional Managers and Practice Leaders into confident, capable leaders.
• Create a culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement.
• Drive operational excellence while maintaining a strong participant-centred approach.
• Partner with Executive Leadership to support organisational growth and cross team collaboration.
• Monitor financial performance, workforce capability and service quality across the division.
• Ensure compliance with the NDIS Practice Standards, legislation and organisational governance.
• Identify opportunities to improve systems, processes and service delivery.
• Build strong relationships with participants, families, guardians, government agencies and key stakeholders.
• Champion innovation and lead organisational change initiatives.

About You

You are an experienced executive leader who understands that your greatest impact comes through developing others.

Rather than solving every problem yourself, you empower your leaders to make decisions, build capability and achieve outstanding outcomes.

You are commercially minded, strategically focused and passionate about creating services that genuinely improve people's lives.

You will bring:

• At least five years' experience in a senior leadership or executive role within disability, community services, health or a related sector.
• Demonstrated experience leading multiple teams through senior leaders.
• Proven ability to drive organisational growth and implement strategic initiatives.
• Strong financial and operational management capability.
• Experience leading organisational change and continuous improvement.
• Exceptional leadership, coaching and mentoring skills.
• Outstanding communication, stakeholder engagement and relationship-building abilities.
• A strong understanding of the NDIS, quality standards and legislative requirements.

Experience supporting people with complex disability, psychosocial disability, autism, forensic disability, mental illness or high-intensity supports will be highly regarded.
