Senior Payroll Officer

About the Role

Troocoo is partnering with a well established not for profit organisation to recruit a Senior Payroll Officer based in Murarrie. Reporting to the Financial Controller, this role will manage end to end payroll processing, with a focus on payroll governance, compliance, reporting and continuous improvement across a complex workforce.

Key ResponsibilitiesYou will play a key role in maintaining payroll accuracy and integrity, while providing advice across employee entitlements, reporting and payroll related matters.

• Manage end to end fortnightly payroll processing
• Interpret awards, enterprise agreements and employment conditions
• Manage payroll reconciliations, superannuation and salary packaging
• Maintain payroll controls, compliance and audit requirements
• Provide technical payroll advice to employees and managers
• Support payroll process improvement and automation

About You    

You will be confident working autonomously, managing competing deadlines and resolving complex payroll matters, with a strong eye for detail and a continuous improvement mindset.  

 

• Minimum five years of end to end payroll experience
• Experience within a medium to large or complex workforce, ideally 500+ employees
• Strong award and enterprise agreement interpretation experience
• Sound knowledge of payroll legislation, taxation, superannuation and STP
• Advanced Excel skills
• ELMO, PayRTA or similar payroll system experience highly regarded
