Dental Receptionist/ Dental Assistant

About the role

This is a dual-role position, combining dental reception and chairside dental assisting. You will play an important part in creating a welcoming experience for our patients while supporting our clinical team.

Key responsibilities

• Welcoming patients and providing a warm, professional first point of contact

• Managing appointments and coordinating the daily schedule

• Answering phone calls and responding to patient enquiries

• Processing payments and maintaining accurate patient records

• Supporting the smooth day-to-day operation of the clinic

• Assisting dentists during a range of dental procedures

• Preparing and sterilising instruments and equipment

• Maintaining high standards of infection prevention and control

• Preparing treatment rooms and ensuring they are well organised

• Supporting and reassuring patients before, during and after treatment

About you

• Friendly, professional and well presented

• Warm and compassionate with patients

• Confident with communication and customer service

• Organised, reliable and able to multitask

• A positive team player with a willingness to learn

• Comfortable working in a fast-paced clinical environment

• Previous dental experience is preferred but not essential for the right candidate

• A Certificate III in Dental Assisting or relevant qualification is advantageous, particularly for candidates with a strong focus on the dental assisting component of the role
