About the role
About the Role:
Adelaide Contract Warehousing is looking for a Warehouse Supervisor with excellent people skills and warehousing experience to join our team in Edinburgh North. You will need to be passionate about the role, communicate well with staff and communicate well with our customers.
You will need to:
Liaise with customers via email and answer all order/despatch queries.
Ensure the accurate and timely picking, packing and despatch of customer orders to achieve 100% customer satisfaction with all outbound activities.
Responsible for stock management and inventory accuracy. Ensure timely completion of scheduled stocktake and cyclic count activities.
Ensure the warehouse is maintained to a high state of general cleanliness and continual promotion of general cleanliness principles.
Provide general supervision and leadership to all warehouse staff. Allocate orders.
Mentor, develop and train staff on warehouse duties.
Create a culture where everyone understands and behave according to Management’s expectations.
Manage the daily operations of the warehouse adhering to ACW’s WH&S policy.
Your Skills:
Sound analytical and tactical thinking skills. Demonstrated skills in planning, coordinating and managing workflow to ensure warehouse operations are efficient. High-level problem-solving skills, including engagement with the relevant customers to find a creative solution. Confident with technology and ready and willing to learn new systems and solutions.
Proven leadership skills, with the ability to coach, develop and mentor staff. Proven communication skills and the ability to be flexible, to adapt to changing deadlines and business demands. Demonstrate tact and diplomacy when dealing with sensitive situations. To be confidential when appropriate. Ability to work as part of a team rather than as the “boss” of a team
Knowledge of industrial and safety products is desirable. Working knowledge of warehouse operations.
Demonstrated experience in a similar role in a similar sized organization, including at least two years in a supervisor position.
LF Forklift licence required.
Use of reach truck and order picked highly desirable.
