About the role
2027 Vintage
Elderton Wines is a proudly family-owned winery crafting premium wines from our Estate vineyards across the renowned Barossa and Eden Valleys. Established with a passion for quality and authenticity, Elderton has built an international reputation for producing wines that showcase the character of our exceptional vineyards.
Our modern, fully enclosed winery in Nuriootpa processes approximately 800 tonnes each vintage, combining state of the art equipment with hands on winemaking that allows our team to be involved in every stage of the journey from grape to bottle.
Vintage Cellar Hands
We are seeking enthusiastic, motivated and hardworking Vintage Cellar Hands to join our close-knit team for the 2027 harvest. Located in the heart of the Barossa Valley, this is an exciting opportunity to gain invaluable hands-on experience in a dynamic, quality focused winery while working alongside a passionate and experienced winemaking team.
The vintage team is expected to commence in early to mid-February 2027, with employment continuing through until late April, subject to seasonal requirements.
The successful applicants will work closely with our full-time Cellar Hand and report directly to the Winemaker. Duties encompass all areas of production from vineyard through to bottling dispatch.
Ideal candidates will possess the following:
· Previous vintage cellar experience
· Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a small team
· Strong communication skills and excellent attention to detail
· A strong work ethic, physical fitness and reliability
· A genuine passion for wine and winemaking
· A willingness to learn and embrace new challenges
· A positive attitude, sense of humour and team first approach
A current driver's licence and a forklift licence would be highly regarded.
