The Opportunity
 
An exciting opportunity exists for a technically minded Service Sales Engineer to join the Melbourne team. Reporting to the Service Sales Manager, you’ll work closely with service engineers, project teams and customers to coordinate maintenance activities, prepare technical quotations and identify ongoing service opportunities.
 
This is a customer-focused role that bridges the gap between field service operations and customers, ensuring maintenance and service work is accurately scoped, quoted and delivered.
Ideal for someone looking to transition from a hands-on electrical role into technical sales, you’ll receive extensive product and industry training while developing into a highly specialised engineering sales professional.

About You
 
To be successful in this role, you’ll ideally possess:

• Electrical trade qualification, Electrical Engineering qualification or similar technical background.
• Experience as an Electrician, Electrical Service Technician, Field Service Engineer, Electrical Engineer or Service Sales Engineer.
• Strong understanding of industrial electrical systems, power distribution or electrical maintenance.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to prepare accurate technical quotations and solve customer problems.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• A proactive attitude and genuine desire to build a long-term career in technical sales.
• Current Australian Driver’s Licence.
• Australian Permanent Residency or Citizenship.

• UPS systems
• Switchboards
• Industrial electrical infrastructure
• Power quality equipment
• Critical power systems
• Electrical service and maintenance
• Technical sales or estimating
• Rail, utilities, defence or industrial sectors

Location
 
This is primarily an office-based position with regular customer visits throughout Victoria.
To ensure close collaboration with the engineering and service teams, applicants must reside within approximately 30 minutes’ drive of Brunswick, Melbourne.
