The team offers additional services such as assistance with transport, accommodation, social and recreational activities, and navigating the NDIS system. With a compassionate and experienced team, Invoke Support Services is committed to promoting independence, choice, and inclusion while enhancing quality of life.Role Description Support Workers at Invoke Support Services provide person-centered support to individuals with disabilities in their homes and communities. This full-time hybrid role is based in Central Coast, NSW, with a mix of on-site visits and some work from home for documentation, coordination, and virtual communication. Daily tasks include assisting with personal care and daily living activities, supporting community participation and outings, implementing individualized support plans, and encouraging skill-building and independence. Support Workers help clients access services, activities, and resources, maintain accurate records, follow safeguarding and risk management procedures, and collaborate with families, coordinators, and other professionals. The role also involves clear communication with clients and stakeholders, promoting safety, dignity, and respect in all interactions.Qualifications Experience as Support Workers or in direct disability or community support roles, with a strong person-centered approach.Excellent Interpersonal Skills and Communication abilities, including active listening, empathy, and professional written and verbal communication.Knowledge of Safeguarding principles, duty of care, risk management, and maintaining client confidentiality and safety.Basic Technical Support skills, including using digital tools for documentation, scheduling, and remote communication.Relevant qualification in disability support, community services, social work, or a related field (or working toward one) is highly regarded.Understanding of the NDIS framework and experience working with individualized support plans is beneficial.Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team, with strong time management and organizational skills.Current working rights in Australia, valid driver’s license, access to a reliable vehicle, and required checks (e.g., Working With Children Check, NDIS Worker Screening) or willingness to obtain them.
