About the role

Fiveways Legal Pty Ltd is seeking a Solicitor to join our rural team on a casual basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a legal professional looking for flexible working arrangements whilst providing high-quality legal services to our diverse clientele. Based in Tottenham, NSW 2873 or Nyngan NSW 2825 with the option for a fully remote or hybrid position, this role offers the chance to work in conveyancing matters, contributing meaningfully to the success of our firm and the satisfaction of our clients.

What you'll be doing

As a Solicitor at Fiveways Legal, your key responsibilities will include:

• Provide legal advice and representation to clients in conveyancing matters

• Draft, review and prepare contracts for the sale and purchase of land, legal documents, agreements and correspondence

• Conduct legal research and analysis to support client matters

• Manage client files efficiently, maintaining accurate records and meeting all deadline requirements

• Communicate regularly and professionally with clients to keep them informed of progress and outcomes

• Attend client meetings and negotiations, representing the firm's interests and values

• Collaborate with colleagues to share knowledge and provide support on complex matters

• Maintain compliance with all professional obligations, ethical standards and firm policies

• Contribute to the development of new business and maintain strong client relationships

What we're looking for

To be successful in this role, you should possess the following skills, qualifications and experience:

• A current practising certificate as a Solicitor in New South Wales or the ability to obtain one

• Admission to the legal profession in Australia, with relevant post-admission experience

• Strong knowledge of legal principles and practices applicable to property law firm work

• Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to explain legal concepts clearly to clients

• Proficiency in legal research and the ability to analyse complex legal issues pragmatically

• Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously

• Professional and courteous manner with a genuine commitment to client service

• Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team

• Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high professional standards
