Business Development Manager - Juel Finance

About the role

Juel is building the Juel Network, a professional referral community of lawyers, accountants, mortgage brokers, financial planners, and aged care providers whose clients benefit from financial stability during legal matters. As Business Development Manager, you will lead the rollout of the Juel Network from the ground up. This is a foundational role. You will shape how Juel engages the professional community, build the earliest partner relationships, and set the standard for how the network operates as it scales. You will spend most of your time out meeting people—law firm principals, practice managers, accountants, brokers, and executives across professional services. You will be the face of Juel in these conversations.

Key responsibilities

• Own and grow relationships across the full referral network, including lawyers, accountants, brokers, financial planners, and aged care providers

• Identify, approach, and onboard new referral partners across Australia

• Run meetings, presentations, and education sessions with law firms and professional partners, including CPD style content

• Represent Juel at industry events, conferences, and professional gatherings

• Work with marketing and operations teams to convert outreach into active, engaged partnerships

• Provide structured feedback from the market to shape how the Juel Network develops

• Maintain accurate records of partner activity and pipeline in CRM

About you

• Proven experience in business development, partnerships, or relationship management, ideally in legal services, financial services, or professional services

• Genuine confidence engaging senior professionals, including law firm principals and C suite executives

• Self starter who is comfortable building something new rather than inheriting an established book

• Strong presentation and communication skills, with the judgment to adapt your approach to different audiences

• Organised and disciplined in managing pipeline and follow up

• Alignment with how Juel operates: calm, measured, and human, building trust through clarity and consistency, not pressure
