About the role
CPC Engineering is a multi-disciplined engineering design, construction and project management company that has developed a reputation for delivering professional, practical and cost-effective services to the resource industry.
We are seeking an experienced P&ID Drafter to join our Drawing Office on a permanent, staff basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled drafter with a strong background in minerals processing to contribute to the design and delivery of major projects across gold, copper, and nickel operations.
Reporting to the Drawing Office Manager, you will play a key role in producing accurate, high-quality P&IDs to support our engineering teams throughout the project lifecycle.
About the Role
Develop, revise, and maintain Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) in line with project and client standardsWork closely with process, mechanical, and instrumentation engineers to ensure drawing accuracy and consistencyManage drawing revisions, redlines, and document control processesSupport multi-discipline coordination across EPCM/EPC project deliverablesEnsure all drafting output complies with company and industry drafting standards
About You
Minimum 5 years' experience as a P&ID Drafter within an EPCM or EPC environmentProven experience within the minerals processing sector, ideally across gold, copper, and/or nickel operationsProficiency in Autodesk software, including Plant 3DStrong understanding of P&ID conventions, piping specifications, and instrumentation symbologyHigh attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple drawings and revisions under project deadlinesExcellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary drawing office
