Registered Nurse - General Practice

Our well-established General Practice located in Aspley, is supported by 3 General Practitioners, visiting specialists, allied health practitioners and administrative staff.

We provide a respectful, positive and friendly work environment where you will be recognised and rewarded for your hard work. Your primary responsibility will be to provide support to patients and doctors.

Availability:

• Shifts are rostered, Monday to Friday, 9 - 4pm

• We may consider 4 days a week for the right applicant

• Immediate start on offer

• Excellent hourly rate available to the right applicant

Daily duties will include:

• Childhood and adult immunisations.

• Covid vaccinations. 

• Ordering and monitoring of medical supplies and vaccines.

• Chronic disease management - care plans, health assessments.

• Pre-employment medical evaluations.

• Assisting GPs with minor procedures- Implanon removals/insertion, biopsies, etc.

• Removal of sutures, wound care, and dressings.

• Daily maintenance of the treatment room, stock control, sterilization, and care of medical instruments and equipment.

• Management of sample medication supplies.

• Assist Practice Manager with relevant accreditation requirements.

Essential Requirements are:

• AHPRA Registration.

• Experience in general practice.

• Must have the ability to multi-task and prioritize and triage patients.

• Experience using Best Practice is preferred but not essential.

• Ability to maintain and supervise cold chain management.

• Excellent communication skills are essential.

• Proficient computer and admin skills.
