The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Senior HSEQ Advisor to support our project teams and contribute to overall business success. This role is key to driving a proactive safety culture, ensuring workplace safety, and strengthening our reputation as a contractor of choice.
You will champion industry best practice and work closely with stakeholders to embed a strong safety culture across the organisation, ensuring alignment with our Work Health and Safety (WHS) objectives and promoting continuous improvement and accountability.
This role will be based in Adelaide with regular site travel.
Key Responsibilities
Drive delivery of project WHS objectives, ensuring compliance with legislation, client, and ICE standards
Lead audits, inspections, and ISO certification activities (45001, 9001, 14001)
Promote a proactive safety culture, including hazard reporting and accountability at all levels
Lead incident investigations and ensure timely close-out of corrective actions
Deliver training, inductions, and coaching; maintain training compliance cross teams
Provide ongoing support and guidance to project teams to meet WHS and client expectations
Maintain accurate safety reporting, records, and client system updates
Analyse safety performance data to drive continuous improvement
Liaise with regulators and key stakeholders on WHS matters
Success Measures
Zero harm to employees and contractors
Full WHS compliance across all projects
Timely incident reporting, investigation, and resolution
Strong engagement with WHS objectives
Accurate and consistent safety reporting
Enhanced reputation as a safe, preferred contractor
Skills & Experience
Cert 4 or Diploma in WHS qualifications
Minimum 5-8 years relevant experience
ICAM or equivalent training
Understanding of WHS legislation and site-based application
Exposure to ISO standards 9001, 14001, 45001
Strong organisational and administrative skills
Confident communication and ability to engage with site teams
Willingness to learn and develop
