Contract Delivery Driver - Immediate start (driving Company vehicle only)

We are currently seeking motivated MR Truck Drivers to join our team of Delivery Drivers. You must have full unlimited working rights in Australia and your own ABN, public liability and income protection insurance and a clean driving record. Ideally you will live close to Braeside as the home base and the truck pick up location, noting you will be driving Company owned vehicles.

About the role

Our Drivers deliver fresh goods to our cafes and customers across Metropolitan Melbourne, mostly in central and Eastern locations. This is a night shift/early morning role working between 2am-11:30am (times may vary depending on operational need) across a 7-day rotation.

A typical run will see you doing the following.

• Loading and unloading our products into chilled trucks

• Checking inventory load content and ensuring the safe delivery of all products to their destinations through careful driving

• Timely and courteous deliveries to our stores and customers, within agreed delivery windows

• Accountable for the care of the vehicle and its contents

• Part of a close-knit logistics team

• Conducting pre-start checks, reporting any issues found

• Adhering to the daily delivery schedules

You will need:

• MR truck license is required, HR would be an advantage

• An ABN holder - payment is by invoice to the company as an independent contractor

• Insurance for public liability, accident and disability

• A clean accident-free driving record, ensuring compliance to all road rules and able to operate manual vehicles

• Be required to undertake ‘Truck Driver Defensive’ Course training

• Full driving history from VIC Roads (required)

• Ability to pass a medical (drug and alcohol testing)

• Good physical condition (required)

• Familiar with Metropolitan Melbourne area

• Excellent communication skills

• Positive attitude and approach
