Trade Assistant

This is a great opportunity for someone with previous construction or site experience who enjoys hands-on work and is comfortable working in physically demanding environments. 

About the role:

As a Trade Assistant, you will support tradespeople and site crews with a range of structural steel duties. You will be involved in moving and handling steel, painting, general site duties, and maintaining a safe and organised work environment.

This role is suited to someone with practical construction experience who is comfortable working on-site and in challenging conditions.
Candidates must be able to demonstrate the following:

• Previous construction or site experience
• Experience working around structural steel
• Moving and handling structural steel and materials
• Painting steel and assisting with preparation work
• General site duties and labouring
• Assisting tradespeople as required, e.g Welders, Riggers Etc 
• Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised work area
• Following instructions and workplace safety procedures
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Comfortable undertaking physically demanding work
• Ability to work in challenging site conditions

To be considered for this position, you must be able to provide the following:

• Previous construction, site, or Trade Assistant experience
• Structural steel experience (Preferred)
• Current Driver's Licence (Preferred)
• Reliable transport
• Strong work ethic and positive, can-do attitude
• Good understanding of workplace health and safety
• Ability to follow instructions and work well within a team
• Physically fit and comfortable with manual work
• Ability to reliably get yourself to various work sites around Perth
