About the role
Trinity Public Care Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Care Staff member for Aged Care to join our team in Sydney NSW 2000. This is a casual position that offers flexibility whilst providing essential care and support to our elderly residents. With a minimum of 3 years' experience in aged care, you will play a vital role in delivering compassionate, person-centred care that enhances the quality of life for our vulnerable population. This position is critical to maintaining our high standards of care and ensuring the dignity and wellbeing of those in our facility.
Key responsibilities
IF YOU SPEAK GREEK, ITALIAN , SPANISH
Providing direct personal care to aged care residents, including assistance with activities of daily living such as bathing, grooming, dressing and toileting
Supporting residents with mobility and transferring, using appropriate manual handling techniques and equipment
Assisting with feeding and hydration support, whilst respecting individual dietary requirements and preferences
Maintaining a clean, safe and comfortable environment for residents within communal and private spaces
Monitoring and reporting changes in residents' physical condition, behaviour or emotional wellbeing to nursing staff
Communicating compassionately with residents and their families, fostering positive relationships and responding to concerns
Supporting residents with social activities and recreational programmes to promote engagement and wellbeing
Maintaining accurate and confidential records relating to resident care and support provided
Adhering to infection control procedures, health and safety protocols and legislative requirements
Working collaboratively with the nursing team and other care staff to ensure consistent, coordinated care delivery
What we're looking for
Minimum of 3 years' verified experience working in aged care or residential care settings
Current and valid Certificate III in Aged Care or equivalent qualification
Excellent manual handling and mobility assistance skills with demonstrated safe practice
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact compassionately with elderly residents and their families
Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced environment
Knowledge of aged care standards, best practice principles and person-centred care approaches
Current First Aid and CPR certification or willingness to obtain this
Reliable, punctual and professional approach to work with a flexible attitude to casual shifts
Working With Children Check (WWCC) or willingness to obtain one if required
Demonstrated commitment to safeguarding and promoting the dignity, rights and independence of older persons
Preferred experience in dementia care or supporting residents with complex care needs
