What we are looking for:

We are seeking an experienced and safety-focused Team Member to join our Works Operations team. This hands-on role is ideal for someone with practical experience in concrete construction and maintenance activities, including form setting and finishing works. Working as part of a collaborative team, you will help deliver quality road, drainage and concrete infrastructure projects that support our growing community.

What your day will look like:

• Deliver road, drainage and concrete construction and maintenance works
• Construct and finish concrete projects including kerb and channel, footpaths and culverts
• Operate and maintain Council plant, tools and equipment safely
• Undertake pre-start inspections and basic maintenance activities
• Apply traffic control and safe work practices in public environments
• Record completed works, timesheets and service requests using Council systems

What you’ll need for success:

• General Construction Induction (White Card)
• Valid MR Licence recognised in Queensland
• Demonstrated experience in concrete works, including form setting and finishing
• Experience constructing kerb and channel, footpaths and culverts
• Experience in road and drainage maintenance and construction activities
• Ability to safely operate and maintain plant, tools and equipment
• Understanding of WHS requirements and safe work practices
• Ability to work effectively within a team and provide quality customer service
• Basic digital skills to record work activities and service requests

What’ s nice to have:

• Safe Working Near Exposed Live Parts (SWNELP)
• Chainsaw Level 1
• Traffic Management Implementation (Level 2)
