Disability Support Worker - Yass Location

About the role

AbilitySeer are seeking experienced, reliable, and compassionate support workers to work with NDIS participants in the Canberra, Queanbeyan, Goulburn, Yass, and surrounding areas. Shifts include domestic assistance, personal care and social and community participation, transport, meal preparation, and support in-home.

Key responsibilities

• Provide domestic assistance to NDIS participants

• Deliver personal care support

• Facilitate social and community participation

• Provide transport assistance

• Prepare meals for participants

• Provide in-home support

• Provide respite care

About you

• Current police check

• WWVP card

• First Aid Certificate and current CPR

• NDIS Modules - Worker Orientation Modules and Supporting Safe and Enjoyable Meals

• Reliable comprehensively insured transport and driver's licence

• Infection Control Certificate

• Experienced with supporting individuals of diverse backgrounds

• Qualifications in Disability, Community Services, or Mental Health are advantageous, or lived experience of disability

• Experience and expertise in supporting indigenous clients in culturally appropriate ways is valued
