The Opportunity

Due to continued growth, Sydney Steel Supplies are seeking Experienced Boilermakers with a high standard of craftmanship. These roles are based in Sydney Steel Supplies warehouse in Penrith. The positions are Monday to Friday 6am to 2pm, Monday to Friday 2.30 pm - 11 pm with occasional overtime as required.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform within a workshop environment

• Ability to evaluate, interpret and fabricate from detailed technical drawings and specifications, achieving a high-quality result

• Able to follow instructions and work both in a team and unsupervised

• Collaborate with the team to complete projects on time and to high-quality standards

• Follow site-specific safety protocols and ensure compliance with safety regulations

• Deliver precise and high-quality welding and fabrication

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with all levels of staff

• Conduct routine maintenance on a range of fixed plant equipment, ensuring efficient operation and safety

• Responsible for the housekeeping and cleanliness of your designated workspace and worksite in general

Essential Requirements

• Completed a certificate III in fabrication & welding (Mandatory)

• Proven experience reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications

• Strong background in the fabrication industry, with experience delivering heavy metal solutions for residential, land developments & light commercial

• Rights to Work in Australia

• Valid driver’s licence

• Proficient in operating MIG, Plasma cutting and OXY equipment

• Excellent attention to detail and a high standard of workmanship

• Ability to problem-solve and manage multiple tasks effectively

• Self-motivated, reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic

• Excellent communication skills

• Strong sense of teamwork and a collaborative approach to projects
