Warehouse Storeperson / Forklift Operator

About the Role

We are currently seeking a motivated and reliable Warehouse Operator to join our growing team. This is a hands-on role within a busy manufacturing and warehouse environment where safety, teamwork and efficiency are highly valued.

We are looking for someone with a minimum of 3-5 years experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or manufacturing environment. 

This is a hands-on role within a busy manufacturing environment with most duties performed outdoors within our yard and dispatch areas.

The successful applicant will be responsible for ensuring the safe movement, storage and dispatch of products while maintaining a clean and organised warehouse. The successful applicant must also be comfortable working in vary weather conditions while maintaining a strong focus on safety, efficiency and quality.

Key Responsibilities

● Loading and unloading trucks safely.

● Operating forklifts in accordance with company procedures.

● Loading and preparing large haulage loads for transport, ensuring products are secured and handled safely

● Prepare products for dispatch, including staging and checking correct products 

● Picking, packing and preparing customer orders

● Receiving and checking incoming goods.

● Stock control and inventory management.

● General warehouse housekeeping.

● Assisting with production and warehouse operations as required.

● Following all Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) policies and procedures.

● Working collaboratively within a team to meet daily production and dispatch targets.

Essential Requirements

● Current LF Forklift Licence.

● Previous warehouse experience.

● Strong commitment to workplace safety.

● Good communication skills.

● Reliable with a positive attitude.

● Ability to perform manual handling tasks.

● Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

● Full Australian working rights.

Desirable

● Experience within a manufacturing environment.

● Previous experience working as warehouse Store Person

● Experience handling large bulky or oversized products.

● Current First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain)

● Overhead gantry crane experience (training can be provided).
