FINISHED ARTIST – Packaging, POS & Print Production

We are looking for an experienced and highly detail-focused Finished Artist to join our creative team, specialising in the preparation, adaptation and finalisation of artwork for packaging, Point of Sale displays and commercial print production.

This is a hands-on production artwork role for someone who understands that great creative needs equally great execution.

Working alongside our Graphic Designers, Industrial Designers, Client Services and Production teams, you will be responsible for taking approved creative concepts and turning them into technically accurate, production-ready artwork.

Projects are highly varied and can include:

• Packaging

• Point of Sale displays

• Counter units

• Floor displays

• Shelf displays and shelf strips

• Wobblers

• Dump bins

• Posters

• Brochures and detailers

• Retail signage

• Promotional materials

• Large-format print

• Retail campaign rollouts

You'll work across multiple brands, formats, substrates and production methods, ensuring artwork is accurate, consistent and technically ready for manufacture.

• Prepare technically accurate, print-ready finished artwork

• Set up artwork to supplied dielines and production specifications

• Check dimensions, bleeds, trims, folds, cut lines and safe areas

• Manage CMYK, Pantone and spot colour requirements

• Prepare white ink, varnish, foil, embossing and other special print separations

• Check image resolution, fonts, links and colour specifications

• Prepare print-ready PDFs to supplier specifications

• Conduct detailed preflight and quality checks before artwork release

• Liaise with printers and manufacturers regarding technical artwork requirements

• Set up and adapt artwork across packaging dielines

• Manage packaging artwork changes and revisions

• Ensure consistency across multiple SKUs and product variants

• Check mandatory copy, barcodes, legal panels and supplied content

• Prepare packaging artwork for different print processes and substrates

• Apply approved creative artwork to structural POS dielines

• Work closely with Industrial Designers and Production teams

• Understand how flat artwork translates onto three-dimensional displays

• Create artwork across multiple display components and sizes

• Prepare complex multi-panel POS artwork for manufacture

• Adapt campaign artwork across complete retail rollout suites

• Roll out master creative across multiple sizes, formats and SKUs

• Maintain brand consistency across large campaign suites

• Manage artwork amendments accurately and efficiently

• Maintain strong version control and file organisation

• Ensure deadlines are achieved across multiple concurrent projects

You're a highly experienced Finished Artist who loves detail and takes pride in producing technically perfect artwork.

You understand the difference between designing something that looks great on screen and preparing artwork that will actually manufacture correctly.

Ideally you will have:

• 3+ years professional Finished Art / Production Art experience

• Strong packaging and/or POS experience

• Excellent Adobe Illustrator skills

• Strong Adobe Photoshop skills

• Excellent understanding of prepress and commercial printing

• Experience working with packaging or structural dielines

• Strong understanding of CMYK, Pantone and spot colours

• Excellent attention to detail

• Strong typography and layout skills

• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines

• Excellent file management and version control

• Strong communication and problem-solving skills

Experience within FMCG, Healthcare, Pharmacy, Beauty or Consumer brands will be highly regarded.

Experience with large-format print, POS displays, corrugated displays, plastics, screen printing, digital printing or offset printing would also be highly regarded.

You'll be encouraged to explore approved AI tools, automation and smarter artwork workflows that can improve speed, accuracy and efficiency while maintaining the high standards required for production artwork.

You'll work alongside experienced Graphic Designers, Industrial Designers, Production specialists and Client Services professionals on projects for some of Australia's best-known consumer brands.
