MESO works from concept and design through to certification and project execution across residential, commercial, aged-care, education and mixed-use developments.

The Opportunity

·     We are seeking a full-time Design Architect to join our Rosebery design team. Reporting to the Design Manager, you will contribute to the development, coordination and delivery of architectural design and documentation across a varied construction project portfolio.

·       This role is suited to an architect with strong documentation capability, sound technical judgement, and the ability to coordinate effectively with consultants, clients and project stakeholders in a fast-paced construction environment. 

Key Responsibilities

·       Develop project briefs, concept designs, and architectural solutions aligned with client requirements and project constraints.

·       Prepare and review architectural drawings, specifications and documentation for concept, tender, construction and as-built stages.

·       Produce and manage BIM models and drawing packages using Revit and AutoCAD.

·       Coordinate architectural documentation with structural, geotechnical, civil and services consultants to support integrated project delivery.

·       Ensure design outputs comply with the National Construction Code (NCC), relevant Australian Standards and applicable NSW planning and regulatory requirements.

·       Liaise with clients, builders, engineers, certifiers and other consultants throughout the design and delivery phases.

·       Support tendering, design reviews, RFIs, and construction-phase design coordination.

·       Review site and construction information to ensure alignment between design intent, documentation and built outcomes.

·       Contribute to the continuous improvement of BIM standards, documentation systems, and design workflows.

·       Provide guidance and support to junior designers and team members where required.

Skills and Experience

·       Tertiary qualification in Architecture (Master of Architecture or equivalent recognised qualification).

·       Demonstrated experience in architectural design and documentation within the construction, geotechnical, or built environment sector, with full-time experience exceeding one year.

·       Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD, with practical BIM coordination capability.

·       Working knowledge of the NCC, Australian Standards, and NSW planning controls.

·       Ability to prepare accurate, coordinated, and buildable documentation.

·       Strong communication, stakeholder coordination, and time management skills.

·       Ability to manage multiple tasks and project deadlines in a collaborative team environment.

·       Registration with the NSW Architects Registration Board, or eligibility/progress toward registration, is desirable.

Salary and Benefits

·       Salary: AUD $96,500 – $105,000 + superannuation.

·       Full-time, permanent role (38 hours per week).
