At Donvale Private Hospital, you’ll join a welcoming and supportive team where you can make a real difference in patients’ lives. Rehabilitation nursing provides the opportunity to support patients to regain independence, achieve their goals and return to their optimal level of function, while building meaningful relationships with patients and families.

Across our Private Hospital Rehabilitation wards, we care for a wide range of patients with varying acuity and diverse clinical needs.

You’ll learn from highly skilled clinicians, educators, and leaders who are passionate about helping you grow. You’ll work alongside a collaborative multidisciplinary team, including physiotherapists, occupational therapists, exercise physiologists, social workers, speech pathologists and dietitians. With the support of experienced clinicians, educators and leaders, our PPP provides structured education, hands-on experience and opportunities to build your clinical skills and confidence.
 

Program Details

Begin with a fully paid, full-time 3-week intensive training program from 19 October, combining classroom learning with hands-on clinical experience. Then, seamlessly transition into a work pattern and hours that align with your career goals.

Week 1: Foundational training, simulations, clinical refreshers, and acute care essentials.

Weeks 2-3: Ward-based clinical training, hands-on practice, and supported shifts alongside your nursing team.

What You'll Need

• At least 2 years post graduate nursing experience.
• Current AHPRA registration
• Medication endorsement (IV Competency)
• Availability to join a 24/7 rotating roster
• A genuine passion for delivering excellent patient care
• A commitment to show up, learn, ask questions, and grow
• Working With Children Check (upon successful application)
• Able to provide or complete a National Criminal History Check (upon successful application)
