About the Role

As a Support Worker, you’ll play a vital role in enhancing the lives of people with disabilities and young individuals by providing tailored, person-centred support. Whether it’s daily living assistance, emotional guidance, or community engagement, your work will help create a more inclusive and compassionate society.

Key Responsibilities

• Build meaningful connections with youth through mentorship and guidance.
• Develop and implement engaging programs that foster personal growth.
• Provide emotional support and a listening ear to help young people navigate challenges.
• Collaborate with the team to create a welcoming and inclusive environment.
• Utilise your personal experience to inspire and connect with young individuals.
• Support and encourage children and young people with Dual Diagnosis including Trauma based behaviour to feel safe and secure to build trusting relationships/connections.

 What you’ll need Childrens Services

•  Passionate about human rights and creating positive change
•  Empathetic, compassionate, and resilient
•  Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Certificate IV in Disability or Child, Youth & Family Intervention (or willingness to obtain) click here to view more details
• Current First Aid, CPR, Drivers licence & NDIS Worker check or willingness to obtain
• Availability for 24/7 rostered shifts including days, sleep overs, weekends & public holidays
