MC Driver

An established Australian manufacturer is seeking an experienced MC Driver to join its transport operation based in Redbank.

This is a strong opportunity for an experienced driver looking for consistent hours, a competitive hourly rate and ongoing work, with the potential to transition into a permanent position after 3–6 months.

You will be responsible for transporting manufactured construction related products across long-haul runs.

Typical freight includes ugly freight, with loads varying depending on customer and project requirements.

You will operate a combination of:

• Semi-trailers

• Extendable trailers

• B-Doubles

• Double Road Trains

• Approximately 40–50+ hours per week

• Standard hours approximately 6:30am–3:00pm

• Start/finish times will vary for long-haul runs

• Weekend work is uncommon, although occasional Saturdays may be required when returning from longer runs

• Current MC licence, manual licence / confident manual driving experience

• Demonstrated long-haul driving experience – essential

• Experience operating B-Doubles and/or Road Trains

• Reliable with a good driving record

• Professional attitude when dealing with customers and site personnel

• $47 to $50/hr + applicable long-haul kilometre allowance

• 40–50+ hours available per week

• Consistent ongoing work

• Established and stable Australian operation

• Mix of local and long-haul driving

• Well-maintained transport equipment

• Cents per km allowance for travel over 250km

• Overnight stay allowance

• Potential pathway into a permanent position after 3–6 months
