The opportunity
We now have an exciting & rewarding opportunity and are seeking to appoint an experienced, professional and commercially savvy State Manager!
You will drive Enviro Sweep’s South Australian business to achieve the key KPI’s which will include business growth through meeting revenue and profitability objectives, drive safety and workplace culture amongst the team of some sixty (60) employees and drive service delivery, efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Strong commercial and financial acumen together with a background in operations within the waste or industrial services sector and a strong mechanical aptitude will be highly regarded. Taking ownership, presenting with an assertive energy and working with a continuous improvement outlook will all further ensure your success.
The role is a permanent full-time position based at our national head office at Salisbury Plain, South Australia and is a key management role within the Enviro Sweep business reporting to the Managing Director.

Main Responsibilities of the Role
Directly manage all aspects of Enviro Sweep’s South Australian business including but not limited to;
Business development and revenue growth including from existing as well as obtaining new customers
Be heavily involved in tenders, proposals and quotes
Full P&L management including driving revenue, strong management of all costs including wages and maintenance and overall margin management to achieve and exceed the branch budget
Full contract and relationship management with all branch customers ensuring that the business maintains strong relationships with them
Drive customer experience and ensure that the quality of service delivered exceeds customers’ expectations
Drive a culture of inclusiveness, teamwork and safety and operate at all times within the company’s documented safety policies and procedures
Oversee the pro-active and thorough onboarding and training of new employees
Provide strong leadership through a positive, lead from the front, hands on approach
Oversee fleet maintenance and ensure that we minimise maintenance costs through pro-active training and preventative maintenance and maximise fleet reliability and uptime
Present strategic growth opportunities and new ideas aimed at assisting the business as a whole to improve its systems and efficiency
Drive productivity, innovation and efficiency aimed through better planning and scheduling to reduce contract hours and driving better outcomes from lump sum contracts
Mentor and support the management and administration team to achieve better financial and service-related outcomes
Prepare reports for management as directed
To be successful in this role, you:
Are an experienced and professional Branch Manager or State Manager in an operational environment (minimum 5 years)
Have highly developed leadership and mentoring skills
Bring excellent financial, commercial and business acumen
Possess a strong work ethic, “lead by example” presence and customer focus
Have enthusiasm, energy and ability to daily guide your team to required standards and measurements
Manage a team, structure the organisation accordingly and manage people effectively such that they achieve the desired outcomes
Work with integrity and confidentiality with all stakeholders
Possess excellent time management, planning and prioritising skills
Bring professional presentation, interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)
Interact with a collaborative, professional and friendly manner with colleagues, senior managers, company departments and external stakeholders
Operate with a strong continuous improvement, analytical and solution-based approach
Have proficient computer skills including the Microsoft Office suite including Microsoft Outlook, Word & Excel
Demonstrated mechanical aptitude or fleet experience
Pass a pre-employment medical assessment, drug and alcohol test
Hold an MR Licence and a Construction Industry White Card
