About the role:

• Act for medical defense organizations and insured health practitioners across contentious and advisory matters.
• Defend litigated claims involving allegations of clinical negligence.
• Assist and advise health practitioners in regulatory proceedings before boards and tribunals.
• Assist with coronial statements and advice on billing disputes.
• Manage claim files for medical defense organizations and insurer clients.

The ideal candidate:

• 1+ years’ post-admission experience in health law as a Solicitor or Associate.
• Genuine interest in developing a specialization in health law and medical negligence.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate confidently with clients and colleagues.
• Well organised, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Proactive and accountable, with the confidence to manage matters effectively and keep the supervising Partner updated on progress.
