About the role

OPUS TR PTY LTD are seeking skilled Mechanical Fitter Technician x 15 for several projects across WA. These are casual positions that offers flexibility whilst providing essential technical expertise to support operations & shut downs. As a Mechanical Fitter Technician, you will play a crucial role in maintaining, assembling, and repairing mechanical equipment and systems. Your work will directly contribute to the efficiency and reliability of the operations, making this a vital position within our service delivery team.

What you'll be doing

• Perform mechanical fitting and maintenance activities on-site.

• Execute controlled bolting and flange management tasks in accordance with industry standards and site procedures.

• Support shutdown, turnaround, and maintenance activities as required.

• Conduct routine maintenance and inspections to ensure equipment operates safely and efficiently

• Test repaired or assembled equipment to verify functionality and safety standards

• Keep detailed records of maintenance and repair work completed

• Adhere to all health and safety regulations and workplace procedures

• Collaborate with other team members and report issues to supervisors when necessary

What we're looking for

• Completed apprenticeship or formal qualification in mechanical fitting or a related trade

• Current trade certification or licence recognised in Western Australia

• Demonstrated experience in industrial bolting/tensioning and torqueing operations.

• Proven experience working as a Mechanical Fitter Technician in an industrial or service environment

• Strong proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments

• Strong communication and teamwork abilities

• Commitment to health, safety, and environmental standards

• Flexibility to work on a casual basis as required

• Confined Space, Working at Heights, and other industry-standard certifications.
