The Opportunity

We have an opportunity for an experienced Quality Manager to join the team delivering a major infrastructure project in Western Australia.

Based on project site in Perth, you will lead quality management, assurance and compliance activities throughout delivery, ensuring project requirements, systems and standards are achieved across all work fronts.

Working closely with construction, engineering and project leadership teams, you will play a key role in maintaining quality performance, driving continuous improvement and supporting successful project outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain project quality management plans and systems including the Quality Management Plan and Quality Certification & Monitoring Plan
• Lead the development and implementation of the project Quality Management Plan and Quality Certification & Monitoring Plan as an integral member of the Alliance Team.
• Ensure compliance with project requirements, specifications and applicable standards for the Alliance and Main Roads standards and applicable quality management system requirements
• Lead audits, inspections and quality assurance activities across project work fronts
• Support the Independent Quality Certifier by ensuring timely access to records, personnel, inspections, testing results and work areas required for independent certification activities.
• Own quality records, certification evidence, Practical Completion and handover quality obligations.
• Manage non-conformances, corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives throughout project delivery and close-out.
• Monitor quality performance and identify opportunities for improvement, including performance against alliance quality objectives and Key Result Areas
• Support engineering and construction teams with quality planning and verification activities, including handover and asset acceptance activities.
• Ensure subcontractors and suppliers meet project quality requirements and verification obligations.
• Maintain quality records, certification evidence and as-constructed documentation to support assurance, Practical Completion and project handover requirements.
• Provide quality reporting, advice and support to project leadership teams and contribute to a collaborative Best for Alliance culture

About You

• Experience leading quality functions on major infrastructure, civil, resources or construction projects
• Strong working knowledge of ISO 9001 quality management systems and their application on major infrastructure projects
• Strong understanding of quality management systems and project compliance requirements in an Alliance Project Environment.
• Demonstrated audit, assurance and quality reporting experience
• Experience managing non-conformances, corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to influence quality outcomes across project teams
• Exposure to roads, rail, aviation, resources or major civil infrastructure projects
• Relevant qualifications in Engineering, Construction Management, Science or a related discipline, or equivalent industry experience
