We are currently offering a fantastic opportunity for Mechanical Engineer based in our WA Office. The Mechanical Engineer will attend various customer’s mine sites and assist our valued customers with conveyor systems providing solutions to engineering-related problems. Critical to the role is the employee can develop and nurture professional, productive and harmonious working relationships with the ongoing goal of customer satisfaction, loyalty and trust.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES ENGINEERING Applying sound Mechanical Engineering practices to the safe design of conveyor equipment

Applying structural engineering practices to the safe design of conveyor equipment, including winch design and structures Analysing inputs and outputs from many in-house design calculators and spreadsheets, written to ensure output is conforming to relevant Australian Standards Conduct finite Element Analysis and Element Modelling using Inventor, ANSYS and Rocky

Conduct Power and tension calculations and reports for conveyor systems Understanding the installation, operation and maintenance of industrial equipment, especially conveyors Develop operation parts and maintenance manuals as well as commissioning documentation, SOP’s, design reviews, risk assessments etc

MODELLING AND DRAFTING Conduct 3D modelling in Inventor to develop conveyor equipment concepts to a point that they can be detailed by the drafting team Occasional detail drafting as required

SALES Development and nurturing of existing PROK-client relationships Developing new relationships with new client representatives and/or new clients

Being the primary site-based point of contact for all correspondence between the client and PROK Develop scopes of work with the client and provide pricing sketches and work with the estimators to ensure sufficient information is communicated PLANNING

Maintain and update a personal engineering planning sheet with your allocated clients and projects every week Monitor and control the schedule, budget and quality of each assigned work/drawing package TECHNICAL WRITING

Prepare clear, grammatically correct, professional operation, parts and maintenance manuals with input from engineering team, workshop, client and suppliers Develop commissioning documentation Participate/ develop/ complete SOPs and similar tasks

EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE Mechanical Engineering Degree and/or Structural Engineering Degree On-site and commissioning experience desirable

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills Be well organised, extremely personable and reliable.
