Pharmacy Purchasing Officer

• Location: Multiple Western Health sites

• Salary: Admin Grade 2 + Superannuation + Salary Packaging

About the role:

The Pharmacy Purchasing Officer is responsible for coordinating the timely, accurate and cost-effective procurement of medicines, pharmacy products and related goods to support safe and continuous patient care across Western Health.

Key responsibilities:

• Ordering daily for the pharmacy department: This includes twice daily re-order replenishment orders and other daily ad hoc order requests from pharmacists and Satellite locations.
• Coordinate purchasing, product and inventory management activities.
• Liaise and coordinate with suppliers, pharmacy technicians, stores technicians and pharmacists in relation to incoming orders or changes to stock availability.
• Ensure that appropriate product levels are maintained and stored in accordance with legislative requirements.

To be successful in this role, you will:

• Have prior purchasing and/or stores experience.
• Need excellent communication, interpersonal and information technology skills.
• Have strong problem solving and time management skills.
• Be adaptable and work well as part of a team.
• Be able to work across multiple sites.
