About the role
The Role
To support a range of projects across our Building Engineering Service Team, HDR is seeking an Electrical Commissioning Engineer or Commissioning Technician to join our Melbourne team. We currently provide commissioning services to a range of building services projects across Victoria, and we are looking for an experienced Commissioning Engineer or Commissioning Technician to join our global network.
In this role we will count on you to:
Manage the commissioning process: Undertaking technical assessments of project schedules, drawings, manuals and technical submittals. Developing commissioning implementation plan, schedules, reports, checklists, and test scripts. Providing technical advice to clients in respect of project and operational risk. Working closely with general contractor’s team in developing commissioning strategies and processes which align fully with project objectives. Managing attendance and reporting of factory tests. Undertaking and reporting of inspections and tests. Attending project and internal meetings as needed. Managing detailed recording of meetings. Recording of detailed progress pre-requisites. Routine population and management of data in project commissioning software. Providing routine progress reporting and final project close out report. Arranging third party sign off as necessary.Review and development of Commissioning documentation for Australia.Reviewing technical papers/reports before publication.
About You
Demonstrated experience in commissioning or facility engineering, ideally working within the Mission Critical (Data Centre) and/or Health sectors.Experience conducting equipment inspection, Factory Witness Tests, and Factory Acceptance Tests. You communicate effectively and work well autonomously, as well as part of a team.You are committed to quality, improvement and HDR values.You are proactive, organised and ready to take ownership of commissioning outcomes on complex projects. Commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must.
Qualifications
Relevant qualifications (university or TAFE).Green Star AP, LEED AP, CSA or LEED Associate – advantageous.
